Keepin’ Things Real: What you, Bubba Watson and Tim Tebow should have in common

April 18, 2012

For those who don't know who he is, Bubba Watson is a PGA Golfer who just won the prestigious Masters Golf Tournament.  Every and I mean every PGA golfer wants to win the Masters.  It is a coveted championship.  But more than being the Master's Champion, Bubba Watson holds a position that we should all covet and that is the position of a passionate Christ follower.  In a world that continually tries to marginalize and push our faith in Christ and the expression of this to the sidelines, it is truly awesome to see men of influence like Bubba Watson and Tim Tebow use their lives to share the light of Christ.  Here are couple of links to these men sharing their stories.  Take a moment and read them.

So what do you, Bubba Watson and Tim Tebow have in common?  If you are a born again believer - the answer is JESUS CHRIST!  The questions now is, what will you do with HIM?

Friend, you don't have to be a pro-athlete to share the light of Christ. God has given all of us a platform for sharing His life with others.  HE has entrusted us with the only hope for the World.  HE has left us here to be salt and light in a world that needs to see an accurate and authentic representation of Christ.  Right now, there are people in your neighborhood, in your work-place, in your community, at the ballpark and grocery store that need to hear about and experience the love of Christ and the power of the Gospel.  As Christ followers, may we take serious how we live our lives so that all who cross our paths will see a demonstration of the Christ who lives in us. How will you let your light shine today?
