Keepin’ Things Real:  Inside Out

Our daughter came in the other day with a sweater that had a hole in it and needed mending. Now while I (Jena) am not a seamstress by any means, I did know a little bit about hemming and mending holes, so I agreed to give it a try. I grabbed the sweater and turned it inside out to look for the hole. In order to mend it so that it looked good on the outside, the part that people would see, I had to turn it inside out, mending it on the inside first.

Keepin’ Things Real:  Snowpocolypse: a lesson learned

Last week, my hometown, Birmingham, Alabama was struck with a very unexpected snowstorm. People were stranded at their offices, at their schools, and in their cars. With no knowledge of the snow and ice storm, many people didn't fill their cars up with gas, and when stuck in traffic for hours (some as long as 16 hours!!
